Meet Emily Kostick
Hi, I’m Emily
MSW, LSW
Emily Kostick is a thoughtful and compassionate therapist who specializes in working with adults, with a particular passion for supporting individuals through periods of transition, stress, and emotional overwhelm. Emily brings a calm, collaborative presence to therapy and believes that meaningful change begins within a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship.
Emily works with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, disordered eating and body image concerns, low self-esteem, LGBTQ+ related stressors, interpersonal violence, and major life transitions. She understands how these challenges can impact both internal emotional experiences and day-to-day functioning, and she strives to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow.
Her approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as somatic and mindfulness-based interventions. Emily tailors treatment to each client’s unique needs, helping them develop insight, emotional regulation skills, and practical tools for lasting change. She balances clinical expertise with warmth and humor, meeting clients where they are while gently supporting them in moving forward.
Emily believes therapy can be both deeply meaningful and human—allowing room for reflection, resilience, and even moments of lightness along the way.
